At some level, each of us has experienced pain and suffering – some of us more than others!  I know what it is like to sit in darkness and feel alone and I understand, quite well, the courage needed to face our unique challenges in life. Which is why I can walk with you on your own journey, non-judgmentally.  You already have all the resources you need to bring healing, within yourself.  My approach is to simply leverage this potential and walk alongside you on this experiential journey.  Together, we can identify what you value and what gives meaning to your life.  My unique approach to therapy is based on a blend of psychodynamic, attachment-focused, and trauma-informed theories. Specifically, I look at present dysfunction as stemming from relational trauma, particularly from early childhood experiences. Working through this lens allows me to bring about inner healing that has a more long-lasting impact. I believe that human nature is too complex to be resolved with one therapeutic approach. To this effect, my wide-ranging exposure to several trauma-focused therapeutic skills, allows me to deliver an integrative approach, specifically suited to your unique needs.

Get To Know Me Personally

  • I begin my morning with Indian Chai 😊, pray & practice mindfulness & spend time loving and being loved by my inner circle.

  • I have had my share of traumatic experiences which left me confused and unhappy. My search for a compassionate counsellor for myself, led me to discover counselling as a profession. Having been on the other side myself, I understand what it means to be vulnerable and I continue to seek therapy on a regular basis as I believe psychological and spiritual growth is a life-long endeavor. Therapy and counselling can offer tremendous possibilities for healing, personal growth, spiritual renewal, and improved relationships. Why not experience it for yourself?

  • I have lived, worked and raised a family while transitioning through four countries, 5 cities, 14 different homes & three different masters degrees!

  • I wanted to grow up and have lots of babies 😊 My doll house had, I believe, 12 dolls of different sizes and shapes that I took delight in looking after.

  • I am a recent empty nester and my current journey is all about discovery! Discovering parenting dynamics with my now young adult children, re-establishing a different and unique bond with my spouse and uncovering my own potential as an individual. Besides that, I am a person with many varying interests including gardening , hiking, baking, theology and being mom to my adorable fur-baby.

  • Counselling may not be a silver bullet and the panacea for all ills. Like all things that foster growth, it is an evolving process of self-awareness, inner wisdom and coming to terms with new realities. Sometimes, that transformation happens quickly and rapidly but not always. What you will always take away from each session though, are new tools, new learnings and new perspectives to address the inevitable challenges of life. A good metaphor for Counselling is to think of it as Surgery – the surgeon does what he/she can, but the process of healing happens intrinsically through the individuals’ own resources.

  • Witnessing the resilience and potential for growth inherent in every individual. I cannot help being amazed!

  • Warm, present and willing to engage.

  • “Every individual has four endowments – self-awareness, conscience, independent will and creative imagination. These give us the ultimate human freedom – the power to choose, to respond, to change!”
    — Stephen Covey
