I use a holistic approach to healing, one that makes room for the mind, body, and spirit. I tailor my therapy to the individual’s needs to ensure that the work that we do as counsellor/client is aligned with their values. I am blessed to be in the profession of healing and helping others. I believe that the world is in need of more connection, more empathy, and more compassion - through my work, I strive to create such a place for my clients. I also believe that long-lasting change requires a deeper dive into people’s lives. My therapeutic approach often involves taking a look at an individual’s past, and the system/culture in which they live. I believe that therapy is a place for one to uncover and explore deeper parts of one’s psyche, an undertaking that ultimately helps achieve liberation in the form of greater self-awareness and personal agency. We are all interrelated, we make sense of our inner world by relating to the outer world – this makes relationships essential to us. Therapy involves not only taking a look inside, but also at the relationships around us – our relationships with other people, cultures, systems, and the world at large. I support people in examining the stories that have helped them become the adaptive and resilient people that they are, and the stories that are keeping them stuck. Together we deconstruct the stories about themselves, the world, and others that are no longer working for them, to re-author stories that empower them.

Get To Know Me Personally

  • Meditation, journaling, and walking.

  • I wanted to initially become a psychology student because I wanted to understand why people suffered so much, and a study on human behaviour seemed to have the answer. As I learned more about Psychology, I found out that it helped me make sense of myself, and other people. This knowledge improved my relationships as I began to understand humans on a deeper level. Having the knowledge to help people led me right to counsellings’ doorstep.

  • Becoming a therapist.

  • An archaeologist. I loved learning about ancient Egyptian artifacts.

  • I am reading, hiking, and socializing with family and friends. I am appreciating art and culture through movies, books, museums, and galleries.

  • Counselling can certainly help you resolve certain symptoms, but I believe it can go much deeper than that. It can help you deeply connect with parts of yourself, and help you experience being witnessed in a safe setting, which ultimately can be very healing.

  • Witnessing the growth and evolution of people. To be able to support people in making positive changes in their lives, and to see them reap the rewards of their hard work.

  • Authentic, warm, and comforting.

  • One of the most calming and powerful actions you can do to intervene in a stormy world is to stand up and show your soul. Struggling souls catch light from other souls who are fully lit and willing to show it.
