My path here
It took me some time to find my way to being a counsellor. It was after years of mentoring that I finally realized that I should do this for a living, that I could make my job helping people. So seven years after finishing my Bachelors I began my Masters in Counselling Psychology. Now I am excited to help people move forward in their life.
What I do
I will soon have a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. My client-centred counselling approach is growth focused and systems based. I work with families, youth, and parents impacted by ADHD.
I have worked with kids and youth with anxiety and stress from family changes. However, I specialize in helping families impacted by ADHD: helping parents of children with ADHD and helping children with ADHD. ADHD affects more than just the person diagnosed with it, ADHD affects all the people around that person. This truth can make the person with ADHD feel even worse. It is this reality that drives me to help the entire family. Using tools for helping parents with their child with ADHD, and some skills for that child we can work together to help your family move forward together.
I am married and live with my wife and our son in Langley. I love spending time with family and friends and enjoy the challenge of Escape Rooms and rock climbing.
