Trauma & Abuse
THE JOURNEY OF A THOUSAND MILES BEGINS WITH ONE STEP. - Lao Tzu
Is it time you start putting yourself first and taking care of your needs? Overwhelmed by emotions and feeling stuck, but really want a better life for yourself that you deserve? If you want change, but don’t know where to start, counselling can help guide you through your journey. I will be by your side non-judgmentally, compassionately and respectfully to help guide you through your process of change, healing and self-actualization.
HOW I CAN HELP
I provide individual counselling for adults of all ages with a focus on trauma, abuse (physical, emotional and sexual), depression, anxiety and PTSD using a humanistic and trauma-informed approach. By using strength-based, person-centred, and cognitive behaviour therapy I can guide, support and encourage you to take those difficult first steps toward positive change in your life.
I have my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from UBC, I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (#2588), trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and a mental health service provider for First Nations Health Authority, Health Benefits Program. I am also First Nations with experience working with the First Nations population on residential school abuse and trauma.
