My passion for psychology started developing in childhood. As the youngest in a family of six, I grew curious about the relationship dynamics, inner characteristics, and environmental circumstances that formed human experiences. The more I fed this curiosity, the more my quiet, attentive, and empathic parts blossomed. Our home was where travellers found laughter, rest, and a hearty meal. I often sat quietly to observe how each person told their story. Although most visitors and family members spoke English, they also spoke in dialects I barely understood. All forms of expression, whether verbal, non-verbal, or para-verbal, taught me about tension, devastation, estrangement, false appearances, shame, resilience, love, faith, and forgiveness. Even then, I cherished opportunities to sit with others in their pain. I started to put my story together silently—of courage, betrayal, adventure, fear, joy, and connectedness. As a clinician, I honour my client’s right to choose how much of themselves to share with me. I am aware each person is as unique as they are similar to one another, so I ask questions, offer insight, and bring up alternate perspectives. My work allows me to meet people searching for redirection and stay long enough for them to feel comforted, seen, heard, and supported.

Get To Know Me Personally

  • I practice self-care by spending time alone, cooking while listening to podcasts, and rewatching television series.

  • I used to think I had what it takes to be a high school teacher. During my university practicum, I was sitting in a grade 11 classroom when one of the students stood out to me. She was popular, bright, and friendly but appeared anxious and withdrawn in discussions. I was distracted by my concern for her and the few other students who showed signs of mental and emotional distress. That was my aha moment. While I deeply admire teachers and their extraordinary ability to attend to dozens of people while also carrying out a lesson plan, managing a long list of student needs, and following a book of procedures, it was then that I realized the therapist's responsibility to prioritize treatment was the right career for me. I find fulfillment in this role of helping others transform themselves, celebrate their achievements, and drive towards their potential.

  • I am proud of my courage to travel the uncomfortable paths, whether that includes difficult conversations with loved ones, long days and nights building my career, or choosing solitude over unhealthy relationships. The courage to travel the uncomfortable paths has given me greater depth, connection, authenticity, and peace.

  • I wanted to be an actress and a writer. I hope to collaborate with a team of writers to create characters and storylines one day!

  • I am spending time with family, dreaming of a new project, working as a researcher, or studying mental health/psychology.

  • I believe clients view therapy as successful when they find a connection with their therapist that is of value to them. Many individuals long to feel seen, heard, understood, and cared about. When people come to therapy and feel their therapist connects with them in this way, the healing process speeds up, and the client believes their time and money is well spent. A therapist who sees, hears, understands, and cares about you is essential to you reaching your goals.

  • To be able to witness transformations of thoughts, relationships, and character traits. My clients move forward, backward, forward, backward, and forward again, within and in between sessions, until a more refined part of themselves slowly emerges.

  • Calming, easy to talk to, honest, and insightful.

  • Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
