Welcome here; it takes courage to start on a new path. You may be looking to make sense of things that have happened, explore who you are, or take steps toward your general well-being. Your daily life may feel dampened by anxiety, stress, or numbness and you might see the effects of this in your relationships, work, leisure, and health. Our work together can help bring you a renewed sense of yourself, practical tools for managing difficulties, a closer connection with others, and a deeper understanding of who you are. I believe that each of us holds our own answers to life already, but along the way, we may benefit from having someone accompany us as we move toward healing. It is a great privilege for me to walk with others through times of suffering and times of strength. May you know and feel that you are worthy of such accompaniment.

I love getting outside in our beautiful community, baking for family and friends (if I manage to save any extras), and finding fun, new crochet projects.
-
Taking the step to see a counsellor as a young adult helped me better understand who I was and who I wanted to be, gave me tools to regulate my emotions, and offered me new perspectives on old problems. I used the confidence I gained in the counselling room to go outside of my comfort zone and explore various career options. It was then that I realized what was most meaningful to me was sitting with people and hearing their stories, which led me into the counselling profession.
-
I’m proud of my growing ability to lean into the unknown. As a naturally cautious and reserved person, I have worked hard to build confidence in myself in order to do the things that matter most to me. Stepping into a more assured version of myself has brought so many positives into my life that would have otherwise passed me by.
-
A bus driver. I’ve had my class 4 license for nearly a decade, so this is a dream realized!
-
I am often on our local trails with my husband, daughter, our dog, and sometimes our cat! I love to be by the water, travel to new places, or cozy up to watch a good sci-fi.

You are the expert on you! Counselling can be an abundantly helpful place to gain clarity, feel supported, and to work through experiences that have gotten you stuck or stirred up, and as a counsellor, I have the training and experience to come alongside you in your journey, but your input is an invaluable part of the process. If you want to spend more time somewhere or something isn’t landing with you, let me know and we’ll make the necessary adjustments to ensure you are getting what you need.

I love to look back with clients to see how far they have come. Noticing changes day to day is difficult but taking a step back and looking at the whole picture often paints a new perspective. It is an immense pleasure to celebrate the hard work and dedication that a client have put into meeting their goals and living into their values.
-
Compassionate, non-judgmental, genuine, with a steady presence. They often hear my favourite line: “Say more about that!”
-
"As I did not know then but know now, the surface of the river is like a living soul, which is easy to disturb, is often disturbed, but, growing calm, shows what it was, is, and will be." Wendell Berry
