Get To Know Me Personally

  • If I am prioritizing cooking, exercise and sleep that is when I am my best self!

  • I grew up with two parents who worked in the mental health field, which subtly shaped my understanding of the importance of supporting others. While I always considered that this might be a path I would take, it was during a psychology class in my second year of university that everything clicked for me. I realized the profound impact that meaningful, empathetic connection could have on people’s lives and knew that I wanted to be part of that change. This experience ignited my passion for helping others navigate their challenges, grow, and find resilience, and it solidified my commitment to becoming a counsellor.

  • I am proud of being able to reach where I am today as a counsellor while staying true to the things that bring me joy and fulfillment. Balancing work, school, and personal commitments was not easy, but I prioritized my hobbies and self-care throughout the journey. This commitment to maintaining a balanced and joyful life has not only enriched my own well-being but has also deepened my understanding of the importance of supporting clients in finding their own balance and nurturing what makes them feel whole.

  • This always changed for me, but I know a doctor and a pharmacist were in the mix!

  • When I’m not counselling, I love spending quality time with family and friends. I stay active by playing hockey and running, and I find joy in reading and maintaining my Duolingo streak (I’m in too deep to stop). I also have a passion for travelling and exploring new places whenever I can.

  • One important thing for new clients to know about counselling is that it’s a space that can be shaped to fit your unique needs and goals. I often hear people say they don’t believe they need help because others have it worse, but the truth is that everyone deserves support. Just as a broken leg needs treatment, so does emotional pain or distress. Seeking help isn’t about comparing struggles—it’s about acknowledging your own experiences and giving yourself the care and compassion you deserve.

  • One of my favourite things about being a counsellor is the genuine connection I get to build with my clients. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness their resilience and growth as they discover their strengths, gain new insights, and make meaningful changes in their lives. Being part of their journey, offering support, and celebrating their progress—no matter how big or small—brings a sense of fulfillment that makes this work truly special.

  • Easy to talk to, non-judgmental, safe, compassionate.

  • Nothing changes if nothing changes!
