Welcome! You have been through a lot, and I respect that. We all have our journeys, and I am hoping to support you in yours. As a counsellor I aim to truly hear you – your situation, hopes, fears, goals, and what you want to get out of therapy. We will work together to pursue that. My attention is drawn to the people and experiences that affect who we become. These, together with each unique personality and disposition, create a myriad of possibilities. Counselling offers us space to slow down, investigate, and move forward with purpose and intention.

Get To Know Me Personally
-
A walk in the woods with my dog, singing while baking (and then eating), stretching.

While talking with a family friend, I discovered the inner turmoil that can come from major life transitions. The basis of this person’s identity was shifting, and she felt the ripples in all areas of her life. This led to a curiosity regarding my own development and transformation over time, and ultimately an appreciation for how everyone is subject to this. Once I learned about what makes me “tick,” I started to grow curious about others as well.
-
I make really great banana bread.
Just kidding – but I do!
I lived overseas until I was 16, at which point my family moved back to Canada. I navigated culture shock and learned how to be an individual in North America. I was very shy as a kid, which actually helped me to learn about people through observation and mirroring. It hasn’t always been easy, but I am proud of the person I’ve become.

Going to counselling is sometimes treated as embarrassing or shameful. It’s not! Counselling can be a place of great insights and intentional steps forward. It can also be really fun! Know that when you step into a session, you are not coming to be reprimanded, but rather to be supported, heard, and seen.
-
I am in awe of people’s courage. There are some experiences or topics that are so difficult to dwell on, and I have the honour to witness people as they do just that. These people inspire and challenge me.
-
Warm, relational, able to go deep, and say that I have a very calming voice.
