Get To Know Me Personally

  • I prioritize spending quality time with friends and family, enjoying the outdoors, and maintaining a consistent sleep routine.

  • Growing up, I often wished I had a safe person to confide in during challenging times. Having someone trustworthy by my side helped me navigate some of life's toughest moments, even when they weren't formally trained as counsellors. Their support was invaluable, and it showed me the profound impact of having someone who listens without judgment and offers genuine understanding. This experience fueled my desire to become a counsellor—to be that supportive figure for others, guiding them through their own journeys of growth, healing, and self-discovery. I want to provide a safe space where individuals can openly explore their thoughts and emotions, knowing they are heard, valued, and supported unconditionally.

  • I embody a spirit of perseverance, always open to embracing new experiences and eager to explore unfamiliar paths. My mindset is rooted in a commitment to growth and a willingness to continually learn and try new things.

  • Growing up, I always dreamed of becoming either a teacher or a babysitter. I found joy in nurturing and guiding others, whether it was helping them learn something new or simply being there to care for them. These aspirations sparked my passion for supporting and uplifting those around me, which ultimately led me to pursue a career path where I could make a positive impact on people's lives.

  • Outside of counselling, you'll often find me cherishing moments with my family and friends, exploring new culinary delights, honing my golfing skills, immersing myself in the outdoors, and embarking on exciting travel adventures.

  • One important thing for new clients to know about counselling is that it's a collaborative process where you are in control of your journey. Counselling provides a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges at your own pace. Your counsellor is there to support you, listen to you, and work together with you to achieve your goals and enhance your well-being. It's okay to feel uncertain or vulnerable at times, but counselling is designed to empower you and facilitate personal growth and healing.

  • One of my favourite things about being a counsellor is witnessing the profound transformations clients undergo as they gain insights, develop coping strategies, and discover their inner strength. It's incredibly rewarding to be a part of someone's journey toward healing and personal growth, and to see them overcome challenges and achieve positive changes in their lives. Building meaningful connections with clients and being a trusted support in their lives is truly fulfilling and reinforces my passion for this profession.

  • Clients often find me approachable and easy to speak to, appreciating my warm demeanour and ability to incorporate humour when appropriate, which helps create a comfortable and supportive atmosphere during our sessions.

  • One impactful quote from Brené Brown is: "Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we'll ever do." This quote encapsulates Brown's emphasis on vulnerability, courage, and self-compassion as essential components of personal growth and resilience. It speaks to the power of embracing our imperfections and facing our challenges with authenticity and self-acceptance.
