You feel like you keep going in circles and making the same mistakes. You feel like you’re always getting stressed about the same things, having the same arguments, dropping the ball at work/school, and falling into the same habits. You want to be better in so many ways – excel more at work/school, be a better partner, feel proud of yourself, and just be a balanced and happier version of you. You might even know how to get there, but something is getting in the way. Maybe it’s fear, anxiety, the past, or something else. You want to make sense of what keeps coming up, but emotions are hard. Change is hard too, but the definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over and expecting different results. You’re ready to stop the insanity… but you don’t know how. I know how hard it can be to take steps to change, as I’ve been in your shoes before in my own journey. But I believe that all of us have a natural tendency towards our own growth and healing. The first step is reaching out. It can be hard to take this all on when you feel alone in your struggles. But you don’t have to be alone – we can work together to help you become the person you want to be and live the life you want to live.

Get To Know Me Personally

  • The three self-care practices I turn to the most include spending valuable time with my closest friends, which consistently grounds and reenergizes me. Additionally, I prioritize self-care by listening to podcasts during walks with my dog and engaging in some form of exercise.

  • My journey towards becoming a Clinical Counsellor was deeply influenced by a personal experience that made an impact in my life. As a youth, I witnessed a family member bravely seek counseling, and I witnessed the transformative power it had on her mental health and quality of life. Several years later I faced my own challenges and found support through my own counsellor. The positive impact of those counseling sessions was profound, and it ignited a passion within me to follow in the footsteps of those who had helped me and my family.

  • Overcoming my fear of public speaking has been a significant accomplishment for me. I used to experience tremendous anxiety when having to speak in front of groups, sometimes even skipping school to avoid presentations. With practice and perseverance I now confidently lead group therapy sessions, educational presentations, and workshops. The young me would be surprised how far I’ve come to conquer my fear!

  • An artist.

  • I’m planning a yearly getaway in a far off country (with poor cell reception).

  • Counselling isn't only about addressing crises or severe mental health issues. It can also be a proactive step towards personal growth and well-being. Just like we visit a doctor for check-ups to maintain physical health, counselling provides a space for regular mental and emotional 'check-ins.' It empowers people to enhance their self-awareness, improve relationships, manage stress, and set and achieve personal goals. You can seek counselling proactively and you can invest in your mental health, which will allow you to navigate life's challenges more effectively and lead a fulfilling life.

  • One of the most gratifying aspects of my work as a counsellor is the privilege of accompanying my clients on their life journeys. In my role, I have the unique opportunity to bear witness to their remarkable transformations, celebrating with them as they achieve milestones such as graduations, career accomplishments, marriages, and the joys of welcoming new additions to their families. Watching the evolution and growth of my clients not only deepens my connection with them but also serves as a constant reminder of the profound impact counselling can have in facilitating positive change. These moments of shared achievement and happiness are what make my job fulfilling, reaffirming my passion for helping others navigate life's challenges and celebrate its triumphs.

  • Compassionate, authentic, non-judgmental, funny, and easy to talk to.

  • Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, then it’s not the end.
