Coming from a multicultural background, I understand that people live through their own unique experiences, upbringings, and values. As someone who has had personal experiences with mental health, felt unheard and sat in the client chair, I strive to be someone who can listen to peoples' unheard voices. I grew up in a culture where mental health was not given a priority and there was, and still is, a lot of stigma surrounding it. My passion for counselling came from wanting to give people a space to feel heard, understood and heal; to provide a space for safety, connection, appreciation, understanding and growth. My approach to therapy is collaborative, direct, and gentle, with a lot of metaphors to understand complex emotions and humour. I try to channel positivity, optimism and strength in every occasion that arises and embrace an openness and curiosity to different people.

Get To Know Me Personally
-
Quality time with myself, I enjoy reading books, particularly fiction. I do enjoy the occasional non-fiction piece as well. Cooking is something I have enjoyed doing since I was very young. Whenever I get the time, I like to try making new recipes and recreating some of my timeless favourites. Spending time with loved ones and close friends, either immersed in an activity or simply sharing space with them.
-
Having had my own personal experiences with mental health, feeling unheard and sitting in the client chair, I wanted to give people a space in which they could feel safe and heal.
-
Moving to a new country and starting a life for myself! This was something I had always wanted to do for myself and to say that I have accomplished it is something I am very proud of.
-
A dancer! I always loved music and grew up dancing!
-
I’m spending time with my friends, cooking, and dancing! I enjoy reading a wide range of genres, being creative either through movement, music, or crafts, taking on different kinds of activities that I’ve never tried before, and travelling!

No matter what you are feeling, big, small, old, or new, it is valid, and it deserves its own space. It’s okay to feel awkward or guarded, the relationship shared between a client and counsellor is built on mutual trust, and sometimes that can take a little bit of time to build – so take counselling at a pace that feels right for you! Talking to someone about emotions you have only ever felt or spoken to yourself about can be hard to voice out loud and explain, and that’s okay.
-
There is a moment in therapy when a client and clinician create a unique bond; where a person feels seen, understood and safe. That is my favourite part about being a counsellor, that relationship furthers a journey of healing, self-compassion, connection, and change. I have the unique privilege of being witness to peoples’ lives, the good, the challenging, the painful and the healed.
-
Warm, funny, non-judgmental, knowledgeable, calm, and easy to talk to.
